How secure is buying over the web?
Whenever you enter any of your personal details and/or when you type your credit/switch card number into our site, our web site is in secure mode. This means that the information you type in will be encoded and our server decodes it. In layman\'s terms this means that anyone "listening" to traffic en route will be able to make no sense of the number. Our system the "Secure Socket Layer" works, every trading web company uses it. You will be able to tell if you are in secure mode when a little padlock appears bottom right of your screen or in Internet Explorer 7, the little padlock will be at the top of the screen, just to the right of the web page address, e.g https://www.sagepay.co.uk/
Given the above, in practise putting your card details into a secure Internet site are much safer than giving them over an unsecured telephone line.
SecureCode by MasterCard explained
SecureCode by MasterCard is an extra level of security offered by your MasterCard issuing bank.
Why am I being prompted for a MasterCard SecureCode?
This is because 4x90 have incorporated the secure code technology into our website payment systems. The page presented is actually from your MasterCard issuing bank, NOT 4x90. At present you do not have to complete this information because SecureCode is optional, however we understand that MasterCard intend to make this extra layer of security mandatory in the future.
What is MasterCard® SecureCode?
MasterCard SecureCode is a new service that enhances your existing MasterCard card. A private code gives added protection against unauthorised use of your card when you shop at participating online merchants.
How does MasterCard SecureCode work?
Once you\'ve registered and created your own private SecureCode, you will be automatically prompted by your card issuer to type in your SecureCode each time you make a purchase at participating online stores/retailers. Then your SecureCode will be quickly confirmed by your card issuer to complete your purchase. Your SecureCode will never be shared with the store/retailer and using it is as easy as entering your PIN at an ATM.
How does MasterCard SecureCode protect me?
Correctly entering your SecureCode during a purchase at a participating online store/retailer, confirms that you are the authorised cardholder. If an incorrect SecureCode is entered, the purchase will not be completed. Even if someone knows your credit or debit card number, the purchase cannot be completed without your SecureCode at a participating store/retailer.
What are the system requirements for MasterCard SecureCode?
MasterCard SecureCode works with most browsers. Please be aware that software which prevents pop-up windows may interfere with your use of SecureCode.
For full details of the scheme you can visit MasterCard's website by clicking here.

Changing your account details
You can change your account details during the checkout process.
When you change your billing / delivery address(es), we automatically update your account with these new addresses.
Can you ship to an alternate delivery address to the registered Card Holder\'s address?
Yes, in most instances we can ship to a different delivery address. However, at our descretion some high value orders will only be shipped to the card holder address.
Also you must enter the registered Credit / Debit Card Holder\'s address correctly as the billing address of your order. This must be the address your Credit / Debit card company holds on its records.
We recommend that you only set a different delivery address as a clearly defined work address (with company name where applicable). Due to the dangers of Credit Card fraud, alternate shipping addresses that are residential addresses may delay the despatch of your order as we confirm your details.
Can you ship to an International Address?
For low-quantity orders, we cannot.
If you require a large quantity, please contact us at +44 845 2000 490
My order is due for delivery today what time will it be delivered?
If you are expecting a courier delivery today (Monday - Friday), your goods can be delivered up until 5.30pm. We are unable to obtain estimated delivery times from the courier, unless it is later than 4:30pm and you have still not received your goods.
What happens if I am not in when a delivery attempt is made?
If your order has been shipped via a courier, they should leave a calling card on their first delivery attempt. They will then reattempt delivery the following day. If no one is still available, they will return your parcel to your local depot and await you arranging a convenient day for delivery (excluding weekends) or arranging a pick-up from your local depot. They will hold your parcel for a maximum of 5 working days, before returning the parcel back to us.
When will my order be despatched?
Most orders despatch within 24 hours. Every product on the website gives an indication of despatch timescales, e.g "usually despatches within 24hrs."
Some items may be displayed as "out of stock" In this instance you will not be able to order these products, however if you would like to receive e-mail notifications, when these items do become available you will receive an email to let you know.
To receive e-mail notifications for any product "out of stock", click the info button under the out of stock display and there will be an option to enter your email address.
If your order contains any items that are out of stock or despatch on a 2-3 day basis, your order will be held until all items are available.
